China Airlines is enhancing its presence in Japan with the launch of a new daily flight service connecting Taichung and Okinawa. This development marks an expansion of the airline’s network, increasing the total number of round-trip flights between Taiwan and Japan to over 170 per week. The new route is serviced by the Airbus A321neo, providing passengers with a modern and comfortable travel experience.
The inaugural flight, CI310, departs from Taichung at 10:00 a.m., landing in Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. The return journey, CI311, is scheduled to leave Okinawa at 1:40 p.m. and arrives back in Taichung by 2:10 p.m. This schedule aims to cater to both business and leisure travelers, offering convenient mid-morning and early afternoon options.
In an effort to further enhance accessibility, China Airlines plans to introduce a second daily service starting on August 13. The additional flight, CI312, will take off from Taichung at 3:20 p.m. and reach Okinawa by 6:00 p.m. Following this, flight CI313 will depart Okinawa at 7:00 p.m., returning to Taichung by 7:30 p.m. This increase in frequency is expected to provide passengers with greater flexibility in planning their travels.
With the inclusion of these new flights, China Airlines will now operate approximately 30 round-trip flights to Okinawa each week. This expansion complements existing routes from Taipei and Kaohsiung, further solidifying the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity between Taiwan and Japan. The improved travel options are designed to meet the growing demand from both business travelers and tourists seeking convenient access between these regions.
