As Typhoon Bavi draws near, New Taipei City has initiated precautionary measures by ordering evacuations in several of its mountainous areas due to the potential for severe weather conditions. As of Thursday afternoon, Typhoon Bavi was positioned approximately 650 km to the east of Taiwan’s southern tip. The storm is generating maximum sustained winds reaching up to 162 km/h, emphasizing the need for vigilance among communities in its path.
