China is set to kick off its National Science Popularization Month, an initiative aimed at enhancing public comprehension of scientific advancements and fostering science literacy across the nation. This month-long program will operate under the theme “Science Transforms Lives, Innovation Secures the Future,” and will offer a broad array of exhibitions, lectures, science tours, and activities designed to engage the public.
In Beijing alone, over 100 exhibitions and events are slated to take place at major venues, while national scientific societies are planning to host more than 150 activities throughout China. The effort centers on making basic research and the latest scientific developments more accessible to the wider public, ensuring that people from all walks of life have the opportunity to engage with science in meaningful ways.

Moreover, the program will encompass the 2026 World Conference on Science Literacy, scheduled to be held in mid-September in Beijing.
