In an impressive display of academic prowess, Taiwanese high school students have made significant achievements at two prestigious international science competitions. Their remarkable performance saw them clinching a total of four gold medals at the International Biology Olympiad held in Lithuania, alongside an impressive tally at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Uzbekistan, where they secured three gold medals and one silver.

The biology team from Taiwan accomplished a flawless victory by earning gold medals across the board. All four members of the team excelled in a field of more than 300 students hailing from 78 countries, marking a significant accomplishment on the global stage. This achievement underscores the strength of Taiwan’s educational system and their focus on nurturing young scientific minds.

Meanwhile, their counterparts in the chemistry competition also delivered outstanding results. Taiwan’s chemistry team proudly took third place in the global rankings, highlighted by three students achieving gold medals and one attaining silver.
